sportsmanship at it's finest

i heard this story on espn radio tonight. tears welled in my eyes in the car and when i read the article at home. i hope i would exemplify an extreme act of sportsmanship, not just as a enthusiast of the game but as a Christian. this story is especially near to my heart as i am currently playing in a softball league and have torn my acl. for the sports fans/players out there, take heart!

Wow.

This kind of stuff is why I love small school athletics. Not to say that it couldn't happen in a bigtime game, but wow.

Given what happened, I'm glad the umpires screwed the rule interpretation up :)

It's kind of embarrassing, but I was sitting in lab this morning in front of my computer crying as I read this story as well.

Hi Sarah, I'll have to check you blog more often. I usually just check a few. I didn't know you have a torn acl! I hope things get better!

Ashley, I tore my ACL my junior year of college. My right knee still bothers me at times. Especially this weekend. I was camping with my singles small group. We played football, soccer, and basketball between meals... very exhausting, very tiring on the body! :)
